Ingredients
1 pound of chicken wings
2 teaspoons of sea salt
2 teaspoons of ground black pepper
half a teaspoon of Chinese five spice
half a teaspoon of garlic powder or two cloves of garlic finely minced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 small white onion finely diced
60 ml of ketchup
100 ml Sriracha sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
Sesame seeds and fresh chillies for garnish
Mixed the chicken wings with the salt, pepper, five spice, garlic and oil. Coat the chicken wings well then put them in a pre-heated oven for around 45 minutes.
Fry off the diced white onion in some vegetable oil until they go crispy.
In a separate pan combine the ketchup, sriracha and vinegar and bring to a simmer (around five minutes). Take the pan off the heat after this.
When the wings are cooked through, take them out of the oven and coat with the sriracha mix and crispy onions.
Top with the diced fresh chillies and sesame seeds.
